Yet another TV reality talent show is headed to television, this time featuring members of the Jackson family.

Three older siblings of ‘The King of Pop,’ Michael Jackson, have teamed up with CBS for an ‘American Idol’ style TV contest to find the next big family singing group.

CBS has made an eight episode commitment to the show, called ‘Pop Dynasty,’ which will feature Tito, Jermaine, and LaToya Jackson as celebrity judges in a similar format to Fox’s hit ‘American Idol,’ according to a

CBS spokesman.

Michael and Janet Jackson, the family’s best known members, are not involved in the project, at least not yet, the CBS spokesman added. LaToya Jackson, 50, who has also had a solo singing career, has appeared in a CBS reality show before- ‘Armed and Famous.’

Jermaine Jackson is one of the principal partners for the show. Jamie Foxx is also involved with the show, according to CBS.

Details of the show are currently being worked out, and no air date has been set so far by CBS.

The show is expected to include standard performance segments and will also explore the personal dynamics of the different families that will compete and how they interact as a group.

The success of ‘American Idol’ on Fox has lead to many contest shows that have included ‘Dancing with the Stars’ and ‘Skating with Celebrities.’

LaToya Jackson appeared on ‘Armed and Famous’ earlier this year. The show featured a group of celebrities that trained to become police officers in Muncie, Indiana.

LaToya sang background vocals for the Jackson 5 before starting a solo career in 1979. Tito, 53, and Jermaine, 52, were part of the original Jackson 5 musical lineup with Michael, 48.

Jermaine and Tito begain singing in the 1960s with brothers Jackie, Marlon, and Michael as the Jackson 5. The group put out hit songs such as ‘ABC’ and ‘I Want You Back.’

The most famous Jackson of all, Michael, is currently working on a new album and is hoping to start a new tour.

There is also talk that he may start a permanent show in Las Vegas that would include the construction of a 50 foot robotic Michael Jackson complete with shooting laser beams.
