Talk about anti-climactic! When we first came across the exciting news of a disco diva and an affordable shoe powerhouse joining forces we envisioned platforms, and models with big hair, and disco ball-riddled ad campaigns. Instead, we are getting sensible shoes.

According to StyleList…

Rather than go for diva-glam, Studio 54-inspired platforms, the 65-year-old icon is working with Steve Madden on sneakers. Apparently, Madden, who has been looking to relaunch his sneaker line — to be carried at Foot Locker in the U.S. — was excited that he found a design collaborator in Ross, according to the paper.

The collaboration is still in its preliminary stages and further details have not yet been released. This should be interesting fashionistas!

How many of you are excited for a Ross-Madden sneaker?
