Two girls, ages 9 and 10 told police that they were walking in the area of Davidson and Masonic roads around 11 a.m. when an older male came running toward them.  The girls said the man tried to grab and trip them, but they ran to one of the girl’s homes. They also said that once they were in the home, they saw the man run by outside.

Police said there were inconsistencies in the children’s stories. One girl told police that they ran to safety without stopping and the other girl said they stopped running and turned around and saw the man was still chasing them, so they kept running. Also, the girls gave conflicting information about the color of the man’s shoes.

The girls described the man as white, with curly gray hair, a green hat, a green jacket, blue jeans and white shoes with either orange, yellow or black stripes. There was no suspect vehicle reported in the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fraser Department of Public Safety at 586-294-8904.
