According to Channel 4 News, The University of Michigan has hired former Fab 5 member, Juwan Howard as the new head coach of the men’s basketball team.

Former head coach, Jonn Beilein left to pursue a head coaching career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was with the team for 12 years.

Howard was a member of Michigan’s most famous team–known as the Fab Five and more recently was an assistant coach for the Miami Heat. This will be Howard’s first time as a head coach. Reports indicate that he signed a five year deal with the team.

Many of Howard’s NBA friends and former teammates have expressed extreme excitement and support for the former NBA star rumored new position.
