Detroit Police are not playing with people not wearing seat belts and will issue ticket. Starting today police across metro  Detroit will be looking for drivers and passengers who aren’t wearing seat-belts. Detroit police is part of the national campaign “Click It or Ticket” campaign that runs for two weeks, including Memorial Day.

Drivers or passengers caught without a seat-belt will face $65.00 ticket.

Children must be in a car seat or booster seat until they are 8 years old or 4 feet 9 inches tall.
