Steve Harvey has had his talk show Steve on NBC since September of 2017, the show has been a hit in African-American communities, on the show Steve Harvey gave an outlet to people like the Waffle House hero and other people of color who went viral with heroic efforts.
He also made an outlet to talk about relationships and marriage issues which was a topic not often approached from an African-American perspective.
Unfortunately fans of the show will have to look elsewhere for the content that Steve pushed as NBC has elected to cancel the show due to low ratings on the network. The talk show will be replaced Kelly Clarkson’s upcoming talk show which will begin airing in 2019.
Harvey’s show will continue to air for the remainder of the year and will continue to air going into next year, but by next fall Clarkson’s show will take his time spot.
Clarkson’s show is being described as a “weekend brunch party”, possibly in the same vein as shows like the The Talk and The View, the singer will talk music, stories, and humor during her show which will lead into Ellen’s hit talk show. Clarkson’s show may be a better fit for audiences waiting to tune into Ellen so her show may have better ratings than Steve’s show.
In the meantime we look forward to hearing what Steve will work on next, if his show isn’t picked up by another network we’re sure he will find another outlet as he always has hilarious observations to provide the world. For now Steve Harvey fans can at least catch him on Family Fued which isn’t going anywhere considering its one of the most popular game shows both on air as well as online.
