Congratulations to Sinai-Grace’s Women’s Services Team who has been recognized by patients and national organizations for their obstetrical care.
Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization founded by large employers and other purchasers to drive quality and safety of American healthcare, recognized Sinai-Grace’s Women’s Services Team as one of four hospitals in Michigan to be equipped to safely handle high risk deliveries. This is a great accomplishment as only 23% of hospitals nationwide meet the standards.
Additionally, Sinai-Grace’s Mother Baby Unit was awarded the 2016 Sinai-Grace Best Inpatient Patient Experience award. And, in 2017, their patient experience scores continue to climb even higher.
Good job, Sinai-Grace Women’s Service Team who delivered nearly 1,300 babies last year. The Women’s Services Team is comprised over more than 80 obstetrician/gynecologists, residents, specially trained nurses, lactation consultant, OB technicians, patient care associates, ultrasound technologists and unit clerks. This team helps a new mom while she is pregnant at the Women’s Diagnostic Unit, during her labor and delivery, while she is recovering on the Mother Baby Unit and sometimes cares for her infant in the neonatal intensive care unit.
This week, DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital celebrates both National Nurses & Hospital Week. Sinai-Grace is proud of its team of nearly 3,000 employees, physicians and volunteers who help care for more than 100,000 patients every year. We recognize and thank the Sinai-Grace team for the hard work, dedication and compassion that they demonstrate to our community each and every day.
Sinai-Grace Hospital is fortunate to have many super heroes. Meet just a few of them, and learn how they are helping people live happier, healthier lives.
