I’m gone need for Lauryn Hill to get it together because that’s not okay.

She left Atlanta fans disappointed over the weekend when she appeared two hours late to a  concert and performed for only 30 minutes before her microphone was cut off and angry fans booing her off the stage.

The venue observes a strict 11 p.m. curfew, so the show was cut short and fans demanded an explanation from Hill on social media. She responded to the confusion and frustration with a lengthy post explaining her artistic process and plans to “make it up” to those who were shortchanged.

“I don’t show up late to shows because I don’t care,” she wrote. “And I have nothing but love and respect for my fans. The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn’t easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don’t have an on/off switch.”

She went on to say, “I have nothing but love and appreciation for the fans in Atlanta, and regret not being able to give you a full show,” she said. “We are figuring out a plan to make it up to you, and will announce details as soon as we have them.”

What are your thoughts about L. Boogie’s excuse?
