Oh no! I’ve eaten here quite a few times while visiting Atlanta.
Legendary soul singer Gladys Knight’s Chicken and Waffles restaurant, located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, earned a score of 56 following a Feb. 18 inspection in which Fulton County inspectors found 15 violations.
Some of the deficiencies discovered during the inspection included a cooler with a missing door, heavy debris on ceilings and vents and violations related to hand-washing, which the health department says is a risk factor for foodborne illness.
Last April, the ATL soul food restaurant received a 94 in its previous health inspection. According to reports from Fulton County, the popular restaurant is due for another inspection within the next 10 days.
Good luck Gladys! Hopefully they can get it together.
