If your kid saved his or her classmate’s life, you’d be thrilled, right? Here you are, raising a hero who springs into action when a fellow human being needs help, and how does the school response? With suspension.
It happened at this middle school when one student complained of having an asthma attack. The teacher urged everyone to remain calm and emailed the school nurse, but when the student fell out of her chair and onto the floor, 15-year-old Anthony Ruelas sprung into action. He picked up his classmate, said “f*** that, we ain’t got time to wait for no email from the nurse” and ran her to the nurse himself.
KCEN TV reports that the teacher’s note says:
“During 5th period another student complained that she couldn’t breathe and was having an asthma attack. As I waited for a response from the nurse the student fell out of her chair to the floor. Anthony proceeded to go over and pick her up, saying ‘f—k that we ain’t got time to wait for no email from the nurse.’ He walks out of class and carries the other student to the nurse.”
