Not the most ideal situations to be in especially as an adult, but just like me, SO many people do it these days….for the record, my mom didn’t put me in the basement. I had a room..UPSTAIRS! So what’s the big deal?!

“Time” magazine analyzed Census data to figure out which college majors are most likely to lead people right back to living in their mom’s basement at age 22…and at age 29.

According to the research, criminal justice majors are most likely to move home right after college: 61% live with their parents when they’re 22.

There are seven other majors where at least HALF of people move right back home: Education, history, liberal arts and humanities, architecture, communications, medical and health science and services, and physical fitness.

Engineering majors are the least likely to live at home after college…only 32% move back in with their parents.

When you get to age 29, history majors are the most likely to still be living at home, at 16%. Also, 15% of psychology, liberal arts, and philosophy majors are still living with their parents.
