The incident happened in 2011, when Sean Tarala was just 8-years-old. His aunt, then 50-year-old Jennifer Connell, was visiting the family for her nephew’s birthday party. When her nephew noticed her, he ran to her from his bike and shouted, “Auntie Jen, I love you,” then jumped into her arms. His 50 pound body sent them both tumbling and she broke her wrist. She didn’t mention anything then because she “didn’t want to upset him.” She reserved that for later.
Her complaints are almost as ridiculous as the lawsuit itself; she claims that her once broken wrist makes living in a Manhattan third-floor walk-up “very difficult” and that, “I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvre plate.”
The aunt from HELL is suing her nephew for $127,000. Oh, and the worst part? Sean lost his mother last year. He is now 12.
