Sausage & Cheese Bread Roll
1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed,
1 pound of cooked breakfast sausage (can use the pre-cooked sausage crumbles to save time),
8 to 10 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella
2 TBS Melted butter
Sautéed onion ( optional)
After you brown the sausage, and onions you add the eggs scrambled and last after that is cooked add the cheese. Or if you want to leave the eggs runny you can use them to stick everything together and then spread out on your dough. Either way is okay, as you bake it and the eggs will still cook up and be like scrambled eggs. I have done it both ways and it works great. Then you roll out your dough and spread that mixture on the dough and roll up into shape you want it to be. I just made mine into a circle and cooked it on a cookie sheet. Or you could bake it in a bundt pan also. Bake it until nice and brown.. I would bake @ 350 until done, I would check on it after 30 minutes to see if it is nice and brown. All oven temperatures vary so I would keep checking it after 30 to make sure not getting to browned.
