            SBA Closing Last Disaster Loan Outreach Centers in Michigan


ATLANTA –The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that its last three Disaster Loan Outreach Centers (DLOCs) in Michigan will close permanently at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014.  Survivors interested in obtaining low-interest disaster loans are encouraged to visit one of the Centers before they cease operations.


The Centers are open at the following locations Monday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.:


        Macomb County            Oakland County
Renaissance Unity Church Gerry Kulick Community Center
Gathering Room Meeting Rooms 1 & 2
11200 E. 11 Mile Road 1201 Livernois Street
Warren, MI 48089 Ferndale, MI 48220


Wayne County

To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, survivors may register with FEMA online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by smart phone or tablet at m.fema.gov.  Applicants may also call FEMA at 800-621-3362 or TTY users 800-462-7585.


Survivors may apply for disaster loans online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or visit the nearest recovery center.  More information may be obtained by calling the SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. SBA loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov/disaster.  Completed applications can be returned to a recovery center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, TX 76155.


The filing deadline to submit applications for physical property damage is December 15, 2014. The deadline to submit economic injury applications is June 25, 2015.
