Having recently served a three-month prison sentence for federal tax evasion, Lauryn Hill is suddenly back on the scene and dusting off the microphone with a new song titled “Consumerism.”

The former Fugees member and five-time Grammy Award recipient says the new track stems from material she was working on prior to her incarceration and claims that she “felt the need to discuss the underlying socio-political, cultural paradigm,” she observed. Hill hasn’t revealed any plans to re-enter the industry as of right now, but let’s not rule it out just yet.

What do you think? Will Lauryn Hill try to make a comeback? If so, does she have the talent and star power to succeed? Are you even interested in hearing new music from her? If you are, you can listen to “Consumerism” on SoundCloud here.
