– Michigan Technical Academy (MTA) will host its Powered to Dream Youth Tech and Innovation Camp Monday, July 29 through Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 19940 Mansfield St. in Detroit.
The free camp, open to youth ages 9-16, will feature workshops on robotics, rocketry, and web development taught by Detroit Labs, software developers. Camp technology partner, Microsoft, will host an innovation area featuring products from its new store including: Xbox 360, surface tablets, phones and more. In addition, Microsoft will provide swag bags for each camper.
Featuring the “Power Surge Hour,” the week-long camp presents guest speakers who will discuss their passion for technology. Speakers include: Erika Carlson, co-founder of Girl Develop It-Detroit and Marlin Page, founder, Sisters Code.
