Whitney Houston died since February 11th 2012 but as the true icon that she was in life, she will never be forgotten. Proving that fact this week were Usher and Brandy who celebrated the legacy of their idol with moving tributes.

Usher performed Houston’s version of “I Believe in Your & Me” at the We Will Always Love You: A GRAMMY Salute To Whitney Houston show this weekend. Rocking a casual black outfit, he showed off his vocals and let the crowd know that he is more than just a dancer. Yes, he could have been better but anybody would struggle while covering a Houston song.

Last night, Brandy paid homage to Houston, this time in New York at the Best Buy Theater where she did a medley of classic hits. Naturally, she made sure to adjust the songs to suit her voice instead of trying to match Houston’s powerhouse vocals, and she wowed the crowd with her energy. By the way, Brandy’s new album, Two Eleven, is dedicated to Houston.
