It’s a wrap. The 2012 Billboard Music Awards are in the books and surprise, surprise, the big winner of the night was…the same big winner from ever award show in the past twelve months–Adele who walked away with 12 Billboard Awards.

The show kicked off with an interesting performance by LMFAO – all of whom stripped down to their underwear as they performed their hit “Party Roc”. Not sure how it was received on screen at home, but the crowd reaction here in Vegas was mixed…actually, mostly awkwardly terrified. But the random Zebra on stage was cool.

But perhaps the most emotional part of the night was the tribute to Whitney Houston, who passed away suddenly during Grammy weekend last February.

John Legend put his soulful spin on ‘Greatest Love of All’. But it was Jordin Sparks – who could NOT look more gorgeous – who tore it down with her rendition of Whitney’s rendition of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You”.

Following the music, Bobbi Kristina took the stage to accept the Millennium Award on behalf of her mother. “I just really want to say thank you to everyone who supported us through it all. Not just when it was good, but when it was bad too … thank you so much for showing that much love, because she deserved it.” Truly an emotional moment.
