Brooke Harris says she was let go from “Pontiac Academy for Excellence” after her students planned to wear hoodies to school to raise money for Trayvon’s memorial fund.

As per school policy, students are allowed to wear street clothes to class if they pay one-dollar.

Harris says she brought the idea to school administrators, and things unraveled from there.

Harris says she still doesn’t know exactly why she was let go – she says she wants her job back.

7 Action News contacted “Pontiac Academy for Excellence” – our call was not returned.
