Are you prepared if your child or loved one goes missing? Not knowing if your loved one is safe is a question no one would ever want to think about. That’s why all day Monday on Local 4 The Defenders have put together a special event called “Missing in Michigan”.Monday on Local 4 News at 5, Defender Karen Drew will reveal the four things people must have in case someone know missing. The things on that list could make a difference in when – or if – a loved one is found. This is information you can’t afford to be without. One of the leaders in the fight to keep children safe is Rapid Child Rescue, which is based in Detroit.Using the latest technology developed over the past 12 years, your child can be registered and their information is put into an encrypted database with only their first name. Parents select a password and are given a code just in case the unthinkable happens. Law enforcement will then have access to the child’s profile.”From 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. parents can register children with Rapid Child Rescue for free. There is no age limit. The service is for anyone – including the elderly. You can register at one of the following locations:
