Neoosha Nelson was hit Tuesday morning on 21 Mile Road near La Roche Drive, according to a statement from the high school.

Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham said a Toyota Prius that was being driven by a woman who had just dropped her own student off at the high school hit Nelson. He said the driver cooperated with the investigation.

Visitation is Monday, March 28, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Peace Funeral Home — 19530 W. Seven Mile Road in Detroit.
