Fans of Michael Jackson are to be given the opportunity to star in the video for the deceased star’s forthcoming single, ‘Behind The Mask’, which is to be the second single to be released from his posthumous album, ‘MICHAEL’. The competition has been launched via Sony Music on MJ’s official website: www.michaeljackson.com and fans are invited to upload and edit their own clips for a chance to become music video stars…

Fans can begin uploading their clips from 7th March and The Wrap Up can reveal how the competition will work. Fans will need to visit the website: http://behindthemask.michaeljackson.com – which has been created exclusively for this landmark competition. On the launch date, the website will be loaded with simple tools that will enable fans to choose from a selection of classic MJ dance moves, lyrics and even crowd reactions from his major concerts; that they wish to recreate as part of their entry into the competition.

Entrants are then able to use a split-screen template to film themselves recreating iconic MJ moments through their webcam or video camera. The split-screen template then allows users to upload their audition at the precise time it occurs in the Michael Jackson clips. The video for ‘Behind The Mask’ will be directed by Dennis Liu, and he will be the person who selects the best entries from the competition and will be responsible for incorporating them into the actual music video that will be aired on music television stations across the world.
