Now if you remember, about a year ago people went nuts about Gucci Mane revealing he was in the studio with Big Boi & Andre 3000, also known as the duo, Outkast.
It turned out that he was only working with Big Boi on his own solo project.
Thanks for getting us all hyped up Gucci.
This past summer, Andre 3000 said in an interview with Complex, that Outkast might be extinct.
When asked about where Andre was at at this point in his life in relation to rap, he said,
“Now it’s more like a hobby for me, so I don’t think about it in that way. Even with Outkast — if we never do another album, I’m totally fine with that.”
He also mentioned,
“At this stage I’m really more focused on what I am going to be doing 10 years from now. And I hope to God it won’t be rapping.”
But in a recent interview with myAJC, Big Boi said,
“I’ve always said, whenever ‘Dre is ready, I’m always ready. Right now he’s focusing on different things, and we respect that as a brotherhood.”
Whether Three Stacks wants to do another Outkast album or not, I think I speak for the hip-hop community when I say PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make another album.
What do you think? Will Outkast eventually drop another album or is Andre 3000 done for good?
