BRONX — A 13-year-old Bronx prodigy was accepted to the University of Connecticut, however the university later called her father to rescind the offer, stating she is not academically ready.

Batin Ashante said his daughter, Autum, is devastated by the sudden news. The NY Daily News and a host of news agencies reported about Autum’s acceptance at the time, making her a blogosphere sensation.
