Ex-Bush Senior Adviser’s Son Accused Of Killing Man With Hatchet [VIDEO]

Claude Alexander Allen III, 20, the son of former President George W. Bush’s senior domestic policy adviser, Claude A. Allen, was arrested Friday in Maryland for allegedly killing a man with a hatchet, reports Raw Story.

Allen called police to report a break-in, but once authorities began to question him, his story did not “add up.”

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police-Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide that occurred shortly after midnight in Gaithersburg.

This morning at approximately 12:09 a.m., patrol units responded to a reported burglary that had just occurred at a residence in the 7200 block of Cliff Pine Drive in Gaithersburg. The caller, an adult male, reported that a subject had tried to break in to the residence and that he had killed him.

Officers arrived to the scene and located the caller and a deceased male. Preliminary investigation determined that this was not a burglary and that the caller and the deceased individual were known to each other. Detectives have determined that a hatchet was used in this crime. The victim’s body was located in a wooded area behind the residence.

The victim was Michael Phillip Harvey, 25.

According to police, an altercation began in the garage and they could not determine if Harvey was killed in the woods or in the garage and then dragged there, reports the Washington Post.com.

“When we arrived he was waiting for us,” said Capt. Jim Daly, a spokesman for the Montgomery police department.

The house where the crime occurred belonged to Allen’s father, Claude A. Allen, who was the senior domestic policy adviser for the Bush administration from 2005 to 2006. He stepped down after he was arrested for shoplifting over $5,000 worth of merchandise and attempting to return them for cash refunds. The younger Allen lived at the home with his father and mother, Jannese Allen.

Allen pleaded guilty to the charges August 4, 2006.

Nurse Arrested For DUI In School Parking Lot [VIDEO]

Noreen Freeman, the school nurse at pre-k school The Baker Center in Punta Gorda, Florida, was arrested for DUI in the school’s parking lot Tuesday morning after driving to the school drunk, reports NBC-2.com.

According to police, Freeman, a community health advocate who has been employed with the school since January of 2008, was slurring her words and her blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit.

“To show up at school and expect to do your job under the influence of alcohol is not acceptable in our district,” explains Charlotte County Public Schools Community Liaison Mike Riley.

Freeman, who admitted to drinking the night before, was not fired. Instead, the school district has given her the week off and offered substance abuse counseling.

Teddy and Tina Campbell from WeTV’s hit reality show “Mary Mary” are asking for prayers to help repair their marriage.

The lovebirds, who have four children together, have been very honest about the ups and down in their union. In the June issue of Ebony magazine, Tina revealed that her husband participated in a extramarital affair and when she found out about the infidelity she want to stab and divorce him.

Teddy recently shared his side of the story on his Facebook account. Along with admitting his struggles with sexual morality, he asked for fans to pray for their marriage and participate in a month-long fast.

The “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” drummer said he and his wife are “mad at the devil and ready to fight,” for their love.

Hi fans and friends. I hope all of you are well and i thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown me.

Well, Im [sic]actually writing you on behalf of my wife Tina and I. Im [sic]assuming that many of you have seen or heard about our article in Ebony that discussed the challenges of overcoming infidelity in our marriage. Well since the article, the challenges have worsened. My wife’s hope turned into hopelessness & despair and she became unwilling to forgive and fight, until God showed her herself.

My struggle, was with sexual immorality but my wife struggled with anger, rage, unforgiveness, pride, just to name a few, for over 2 decades. The devil wanted to use strongholds that took hold of our lives in our childhood, to remain and destroy us as adults. So now instead of being mad at each other we’re mad at the devil and we’re ready to fight.

Today we began a 30 day fast (May 24th-June 22nd) for complete deliverance & restoration.

If u are able to, please fast and/or pray daily that God would answer our prayer and give us a deeper love & commitment to him and to each other. We believe he still works miracles and he can give us the greatest marriage we could have ever imagined. We can pray alone BUT your prayers will certainly help.

According to E! News, the season three finalist just signed on to join the singing-competion show’s 13th season.

HIV Community Responds To Tyler Perry’s “Temptation” In Open Letter

Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor may have been a hit at the box office, but there’s one group that wasn’t too about the film’s overall message.

The Positive Women’s Network of the United States of America recently penned an open letter to the filmmaker, stating that his project only serves as a tool “to perpetuate stigma.”

Temptation, which hit theaters in March, centered around the main character Judith who contracted HIV from an extramarital affair. HIV community argues that the film “depicts people with HIV as untouchable and unlovable, doomed to a lifetime of loneliness, and unable to tell their own stories.”

Dear Mr. Perry,

We write as people living with HIV and their allies to express our deep disappointment with your latest film, Temptation. This disappointment is made all the greater because you have done much that can be applauded. Audiences see your plays and films not simply as entertainment, but as opportunities for inspiration, spiritual healing, and unity.

As you may be aware, one of the greatest barriers to addressing the HIV epidemic is the high level of stigma and misinformation attached to this simple virus. Stigma prevents people from getting tested for HIV, from protecting themselves during sex, from accessing care when they test positive, and from disclosing their HIV status to family, friends, and sexual partners. Myths and outdated perceptions about how HIV is transmitted and the implications of an HIV diagnosis have resulted in discriminatory treatment towards, and violence against, people living with HIV.

Unfortunately, Temptation can only serve to perpetuate stigma. Your film depicts people with HIV as untouchable and unlovable, doomed to a lifetime of loneliness, and unable to tell their own stories. It implies that men with HIV are sexually irresponsible and predatory. And the final image — that of a woman who has been infected with HIV due to an extramarital affair walking away alone and unhealthy — sends the message that HIV is a punishment for immoral behavior.

Mr. Perry, as a leader in the African-American community, is this really the message you want to send in 2013, over three decades into this epidemic? Your impact on beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors in the community is not insignificant. And if you portray people with HIV as sinful, secretive monsters, unworthy of love and incapable of reproduction, what incentive do people have to learn their HIV status or for people with HIV to disclose their status?

Chris Brown is not wasting anytime now that he’s a single man. Even though he’s been hanging out with ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran, rumor has it that Chris is dating Topshop heiress Chloe Green.

Who is this Chloe I speak of? Her father is being sued by Chris’ ex Rihanna, after his high street store sold unauthorized t-shirts using her image.

A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper:

“Chloe met Chris last year when he serenaded her at her dad’s 60th birthday party. She was always a big fan and thinks he’s really hot.

“After he split with Rihanna and she split from Marc, they’ve been spending more time together and having a lot of fun.

“It’s early days, but they’ve not been shy about being seen out at the same places … It’s the sort of thing Rihanna keeps an eye on, and she’s definitely aware of Chloe being on the scene.”

The pair were spotted celebrating Brown’s 24th birthday in LA earlier this month, and have since been seen together at Greystone Manor in Hollywood.

Chloe recently broke up with J.Lo’s ex, Marc Anthony.

Michael Parson: Man Sentenced To 35-Years For Shooting Wife Eight Times

Sandy Springs resident Michael Parson (pictured) was sentenced to 35 years in prison Friday on aggravated assault and attempted murder charges for shooting his wife eight times, according to WSBTV.

In April 2012, Parson approached then-wife Adina Broome outside their apartment and fired repeatedly at her. Broome is now confined to a wheelchair, partially blind, and barely able to speak as a result of her wounds.

Officials say Parson, 40, shot Broome because he was secretly engaged to a a Petland co-worker at the time. He allegedly lied to the co-worker that Broome was his aunt.

At the time of the shooting, Parson provided a false alibi, telling police he was at a hospital in Decatur when his wife was shot. However, phone records indicate that he was in fact at his apartment complex. Still, his mother spoke out in court, saying her son is innocent.

Despite her injuries, Broome apparently has no hard feelings. “After all this, she still forgives,” a friend of hers said. The judge who sentenced him wasn’t so nice with her words, telling Parson he deserves more than the 35-year maximum sentence for his crime.
