DETROIT — Wayne State University police say a 31-year-old man died after falling from the top of a parking garage on the school’s campus.
Campus Police Chief Anthony Holt said investigators are examining surveillance video to determine whether the man’s death Friday was an accident or was deliberate. He says foul play has been ruled out, but officers aren’t sure if the man fell or he jumped.
Holt said the man drove to the top of the five-story parking garage Friday and got out of his car. A passer-by found him on the ground not long afterward and called 911.
The man was pronounced dead at a Detroit hospital. Holt says the man was a former WSU student, but his name was being withheld pending notification of relatives.
