Nominations for the 2010 Primetime Emmys were announced this morning, and the list of nominees is sorely lacking in racial diversity. Only one Black actor was nominated in the major categories: Andre Braugher received a Best Supporting Actor nod for his portrayal of Owen Thoreau Jr. TNT’s “Men of a Certain Age.”

A few other Black actors and actresses had been widely predicted to get nominations but were snubbed, including Chandra Wilson of Grey’s Anatomy and Ugly Betty’s Vanessa L. Williams.
