This week in  Gospel News brings us a new baby and  Music World’s Roster.

Congratulations to one of gospel music’s most popular choir directors, Evidence Gospel/Light Records recording artist James “J.J.” Hairston and his wife ,Trina Hairston, on their exciting new addition to the family. The Hairstons welcome a beautiful baby girl, Jayelle Lalah Hairston, born June 3, 2010 at 4:29 am ET. Baby Jayelle weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and is reportedly doing great.

Music World Entertainment announces a newly established gospel music label, Music World Gospel. The label will succeed the company’s faith-based label, Spirit Rising with the award-winning recording artists and special projects joining the new venture.  Music World Gospel roster of artists and compilation projects include, Juanita Bynum, Trin-i-tee 5:7, Brian Courtney Wilson, Micah Stampley, Pastor Rudy Rasmus and The ESSENCE Gospel Project. A Spirit Rising compilation CD will retain its name being released through Music World Gospel.

The Gospel Music Festival will take place June 5 & 6, 2010 in Millennium Park.  The festival features more than 50 performances on three stages and activities for the whole family to enjoy including a gospel art fair.
