Detroit — Two more candidates for City Council — Saunteel Jenkins and Councilwoman Alberta Tinsley-Talabi — had brushes with mortgage foreclosure this year, records show.
Notices published in The Detroit Legal News indicate that a condominium owned by Jenkins, a social worker, was scheduled for sale on Aug. 13 over a defaulted $155,092 mortgage. A two-unit rental on the 1400 block of Camden owned by Tinsley-Talabi was set for sale June 17 on a $66,638 mortgage, records show.
Repayment agreements halted the sales.
