Wayne Co. Prosecutor Kym Worthy has charged two men in connection with the homicide of Alicia Fox, the woman who was found dead in an abandoned home earlier this week. Her two children are still missing.
Fox’s husband, Erin Justice, has been charged with First Degree Murder, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Felony Firearm. Prosecutors say he is currently being held by authorities in Atlanta, Ga. A second man has been charged with being an Accessory After the Fact to a Felony.
Authorities are still actively searching for Fox’s two children, 6-year-old Kaylah Hunter and 8-month-old Kristian Justice. Fox’s husband, Erin, is the father of Kristian. In a press conference Thursday, police said Justice and the second suspect may have information that could lead them to the children.
Later Thursday afternoon police say they have found Fox’s burgundy Chevy Impala in a junkyard in Taylor. Sources tell Fox 2, Justice sold the vehicle and had it towed before he left town. By the time investigators arrived the car had been stripped.
Fox 2 reports the parents of Erin Justice have been questioned by authorities, and that Erin’s father drove him to the airport before his flight to Georgia.
On Thursday, an emotional vigil was held for the slain mother, Alicia Fox. Family and friends gathered at Detroit Christian Schools of Excellence in what they called “a celebration of life.”
