Detroit teacher, Tiffani Eaton was terminated from Pershing High School after video surfaced showing her swinging a broom to break up a fight between two of her students. After receiving various support from the community, deciding to hire a lawyer and speak publicly, the officials with the Education Achievement Authority decided earlier this week to reinstate Eaton and give her retro pay from the date of her dismissal.
Well now after being fired and then recently reinstated, Eaton is using her story and experience to to make a difference for teachers across metro Detroit. According to Fox 2, she is starting a fight of her own and is demanding safer classrooms and more training for her fellow teachers so this doesn’t happen again.
