I remember distinctly when Charmaine beat me for the first time. I was shocked beyond measure, but more so disappointed in myself that I caused my mother to be so upset in my actions that it brought out that side of her. Growing up, I didn’t get into too much trouble, but on those rare moments, my mom had no problem swinging. Now, do I agree with the father disciplining his daughters, yes! For whatever reason, parenting isn’t the same as it used to be. It’s almost as if parents are looked down upon when they actually parent their children. But it’s totally okay for inappropriate children to run amuck and parents sit back and do nothing. There is a difference between a child misbehaving or acting out and suffering the repercussions, and an abusive parent. This father isn’t an abusive dad.
