Cissy Houston on Bobbi Kristina: “I Worry About Her”
As the one year anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death approaches, Cissy Houston is concerned about how her granddaughter Bobbi Kristina is coping with her mother’s death.
Cissy revealed her worries for Bobbi Kristina in detail in her new book “Remembering Whitney” to People magazine
“She’s not handling it good,” Cissy wrote.
“None of us are. Of course I worry about her. Bobbi Kristina is 19 and if you know anything about a 19-year-old, they think they know it all. It doesn’t mean that she is going to follow her [mother's] same path. She could but anybody could. I don’t want to jinx her. I’m trying to make sure she doesn’t.”
The family was feuding last fall over payments to Bobbi K from Whitney’s estate as Cissy believed that Bobbi Kristina was unable to make wise decisions about how to use that money and is upset about the teenager’s romance with ex-fiancé Nick Gordon.
The situation has since been resolved.
