McLaren Macomb has launched Bravo for Women, a free mammogram program for uninsured women in Macomb County.
The program is designed to ensure women without health insurance have access to mammograms. Funding was provided through BRAvo, a yearly event designed to increase awareness of breast cancer issues and prevention.
To qualify for a mammogram, women must be at least 40 (or younger than 40 with a family history of breast cancer or physician referral) and meet certain income eligibility requirements.
To request an application or for information, call the Bravo for Women 24-hour message line at 586-493-3474 or go to http://www.mclaren.org/bravo .
The BRAvo event features the winning entries in a bra-decorating challenge and a live auction of celebrity-autographed bras.
BRAvo Night is at 6 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Mirage, 16980 Eighteen Mile Road in Clinton Township. The theme is “Mardi Bra: Unmasking Breast Cancer.”
Tickets are $40. Call 586-741-4330 or go to http://www.mclaren.org/bravo .
