• POLL: Michigan Lottery Winner Claims To Have A Right To Collect Food Stamps After Winning $1M

I was thumbing through the news today when I came across a story of a single Mom in Washington state who won the lottery to the tune of a “cool million” yet she still collects food stamps and thinks she has the right to do that. Me? Not so much…

Amanda Clayton won the lottery, owns two homes and still collects food stamps since the state didn’t cut her off.

I thought that they would cut me off, but since they didn’t, I thought maybe it was OK because I’m not working

Clayton downplayed her wealth, saying she took the $1 million in a lump sump, which meant about half immediately went to taxes.

I feel that it’s OK because I mean, I have no income and I have bills to pay, I have two houses.

Ok, your not working. I get it. If I won a million I probably wouldn’t be working either or at the very least not as much as I do presently but my question is how do you afford two homes while on food stamps?

Lawmakers though are on top of it and trying to get a bill passed that would make her actions non existent!

The bill, which has already passed the state House and has a sister bill in the Senate, would require the state to cross check the names of lottery winners over $1,000 to see if they are also receiving state financial benefits.

Should This Woman Be Allowed To Collect Food Stamps
    Of course…this is America!
    NO…kick her to the curb!
    Who cares?
