• Legendary Diana Ross, Has Never Won A Grammy, Finally Gets Her Award This February!

It is criminal that in her long and hugely successful recording career, Diana Ross has never won a Grammy.

I mean, even Hillary Rodham Clinton has a Grammy!

This huge oversight will finally be rectified this year when the great star receives the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy. She will be presented with the honor an invitation-only ceremony to be held on Feb. 11 and will be acknowledged during the Grammy Awards telecast the next night.

I certainly hope they allow Miss Ross to take the stage and make a speech and show clips or better yet, ask her to perform. Too often, musical legends are just asked to stand as the audience applauds.

    We want more!

Miss Ross has won eight American Music Awards but never the Grammy despite 12 nominations. Her recording career has spanned nearly 50 years.  She enjoyed 12 number one hits as lead singer of The Supremes including Baby Love, Reflections, Stop! In the Name of Love and You Can’t Hurry Love then went on to have six number one singles as a solo artist including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Love Hangover, Do You Know Where You’re Going To and Endless Love.

In addition to Miss Ross, other Lifetime Achievement honorees will include the Allman Brothers Band, Glen Campbell, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Jones, the Memphis Horns, and Gil Scott-Heron.

Let’s enjoy some of my favorite Diana Ross performances to celebrate her Grammy:
