Legendary Singer Lena Horne Dies

Lena Horne

Lena Horne, the legendary performer of ‘Stormy Weather’, died at a hospital in York, the same city in which she is originated. She was 92 and suffered from multiple sclerosis for several years.

Lena Horne began her career when he was only 14 years. The Tony and Emmy Award-winning star got her big show business break in the early 1940s as the featured vocalist on a NBC’s popular jazz series.

She recorded her first album in 1941 and went on to star in a string of musicals and TV variety shows.
