It’s been a few years since we’ve heard anything from R&B singer and record producer Joe. However, after laying low the last few years, Joe is ready like never before to showcase his ninth studio album, The Good, The Bad, The Sexy. Sounds like a title of something the ladies will definitely enjoy.
Joe recently expressed his feelings towards what music has turned into, saying that R&B took a turn it was never supposed to take. I guess Joe, like any other old school R&B singer, doesn’t appreciate the mainstream, and I would have to agree; neither do I. But like Joe says, it’s understandable that people are going to get on and “ride the wave”
Joe tells Singersroom:
“This is a great album, more mainstream. Different from Signature completely. It’s really more mainstream, and still a mix between mainstream and that classic Joe.”
From the sounds of it, seems like this album will be something close to amazing. Don’t you miss R&B that sends chills up your spine? I sure do.
Joe isn’t expecting a new fan base, but at least those who always appreciated his music and real music would be just fine. He said:
“It’s a struggle out here to continue to do what you do, [which] becomes monotonous to people’s thinking. I can’t really say who is really holding it down like that because it’s a struggle for all of us in the R&B game to deliver good music, remain honest, do what you’re doing, and be successful at it as well.”
Can’t wait to see what Joe has in store for us. Check out his first single from The Good, the bad & The Sexy “Losing” ….Is it a Kiss Hit or Miss?
