We’re seeking a goal oriented, career minded, motivated self-starter to sell retail advertising in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment to new and existing customers. If you have two years of sales experience (media experience preferred), digital/online experience, computer knowledge and business competencies, are creative, have an interest in advertising sales, and have strong interpersonal skills, you have what it takes to be part of our team. The Oakland Press is seeking full time Classified Sales Representatives who are goal oriented, motivated self-starters to sell advertising in our classified section of the newspaper in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment to new and existing customers.
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE:
Strong customer service skills.
2 years’ experience in sales
A desire to work with the public.
A high level of computer competency.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Proven sales experience.
Ability and interest in cold calling and soliciting new business.
Strong interpersonal skills.
An interest in advertising sales.
We’re seeking candidates able to work 5 days a week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
