R&B king R. Kelly reportedly underwent emergency throat surgery Tuesday at a Chicago hospital. There’s no additional information that was provided regarding the intricacies of the procedure or his current medical status.
Prior to the operation, Kelly hinted at having throat problems last week on his Twitter account. “I refuse to take another cup of theraflu! I feel like my throat is coming back. I’ve been in bed sweating like crazy. Thanks guys!” he tweeted.
Hopefully, his recent financial woes didn’t exacerbate his throat condition. As we previously reported, Kelly is facing a $2.9 million foreclosure on his spacious Chicago palace. JPMorgan’s Chase bank filed the foreclosure claim in June stating that the singer has been unable to keep up with the monthly mortgage payments. The singer’s rep insists that Kelly is not having any money issues.
The ‘When a Women Loves’ crooner just finished his 46-day U.S. tour with Keyshia Cole and Marsha Ambrosius. 1059 Kiss would like to send positive thoughts to R. Kelly both medically and financially.
