The Detroit Department of Transportation said it will add a bus service to several routes for the Target Fireworks on Monday.
DDOT said the service is being provided in “an effort to save gas, ease congestion and provide parking relief between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.” Monday night.
The following routes will get the extra service:
• #10 Chene
• #16 Dexter
• #18 Fenkell
• #19 Fort
• #21 Grand River
• #25 Jefferson
• #27 Joy Road
• #31 Mack
• #34 Gratiot
• #48 Van Dyke
• #53 Woodward
The department said many routes to downtown will be rerouted due to some street closures during the fireworks.
