The event (which last year brought in more than 5,000 people) offers numerous free or low-cost health screening tests, as well as information on health coverage options, family planning, community services, social security, mental health services as well as free immunizations.
The expo is co-sponsored by Wayne County Health and Human Services, Wayne County Health Choice, Wayne County Four Star, the city of Detroit, the Cover the Uninsured Michigan Network and a host of other Metro Detroit health organizations.
Anyone attending today’s event is advised to bring photo identification, social security and income information to comply with enrollment programs and health screenings.
Free parking on the Cobo roof is available to attendees.
