FLINT, Mich. — Two teenagers are in custody after police said they robbed and fatally shot a 33-year-old man and father of four while he was making a pizza delivery on Flint’s north side.

Michael Nettles was shot several times Wednesday night after delivering a $40 order. He was shot once while he was on the porch of the home, police said. Investigators said he got into his car and was shot several more times. He attempted to drive away where he crashed into a fire hydrant and died.

Prosecutor David Leyton said it was senseless act of violence and it appears to be a gang initiation.

Daronique Collins, a manager at the Little Caesars Pizza where Nettles worked, said he was married with four children and had worked at the store for eight or nine months. FLINT, Mich. — Two teenagers are in custody after police said they robbed and fatally shot a 33-year-old man and father of four while he was making a pizza delivery on Flint’s north side.
