“It” girl of the moment, Nicki Minaj, has premiered a music video for her first official solo single called ”Massive Attack.” In the clip, Nicki leads an army, writhes around with snakes while rocking a green wig, and executes an escape in a sleek, pink sports car with Amber Rose by her side. We still hate the song, but if nothing else, the video really encapsulated Minaj’s ‘larger-than-life’ / cartoon-esque character pretty well.
Here’s what she had to say:
“The song is called ‘Massive Attack, I’m excited for people to hear me … doing more than one verse. It’s really creative. Shout-out to [songwriter] Sean Garrett. I’ve always loved his style. He really kinda had a great idea of what I wanted to do. I wanted to be theatrical, but I am very serious about what I do. He was able to mesh that together and have a really fun but direct record, if that makes sense. The video is a monsta.”
