• NY Boys Academy Finds Success Through Black Male Leadership

    An unconventional all-boys school in New York, the Eagle Academy, is seeing 80% college attendance. Recruitment of male African-American teachers has proven to benefit the New York school.

    The high school graduation rates of African American males are well below the national average.  In New York, the situation is even bleaker.

    NBC’s Craig Melvin reports on how Eagle Academy in the Bronx is working to reverse that trend by providing an environment where young black males can thrive. See video below.
