Today, Beyonce made Brooklyn more beauty-full.
At a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, the 28-year-old singer unveiled the Beyonce Cosmetology Center at the Phoenix House in Brooklyn, New York.
The center will offer a residential substance abuse treatment program that will teach women and men how to prepare for a career in cosmetology.
This isn’t the first time Beyonce has worked with Pheonix House. According to Forbes, she donated her salary from her film Cadillac Records — in which she played Etta James who struggled with drug addiction in the past — to the organization.
Beyonce’s been busy of late. She just launched her signature fragrance last month with a star-studded gala in New York City.
Hats off to this beauty icon who’s prettying the world with more than just her face.
