Tiger Woods sues PETA over one of their ads that uses the recent news about him for their own purposes.
Their latest advertisement takes a dig at the ace golfer’s sex scandal. The PETA had made plans about putting up its latest ad on billboards, that mocked the golfer’s capacity for sex, and asked the people who own pets to keep their population under check.
The PETA billboard say that, “Too much sex can be a bad thing for little tigers too. Help keep your cats (and dogs) out of trouble: Always spay or neuter!” These ads are indeed taking a direct dig at the ace golfer, and his relentless and never ending capacity for sex, for which he even had to undergo rehabilitation. The ad campaign has understandably infuriated the golfer, and his lawyers have filed a lawsuit against PETA, for making a mockery out of the infamous golfer.
In their defense the officials at PETA said that their ad campaign was not made with the goal and intention of making a mockery out of Tiger Woods. On the contrary their campaign was made with the sole aim in mind to prevent millions of cats and dogs from being euthanized every year, due to their ever-increasing population. Virginia Fort who is an activist for PETA says that, “It’s a fun, tongue-in-cheek approach. We hope these billboard companies will understand. The world has been transfixed on Tiger’s life after Thanksgiving. We’re putting the focus where it needs to be. We’re sure Tiger will appreciate our attempt — from a story that’s distracted the world and followed Tiger — to turn it into something positive for little tigers.”
