Spat Over Belle Isle Parking Spot Leads To Gunfire

A fight over a parking spot on Belle Isle led to gunfire, and an innocent bystander was shot Sunday night at about 8 p.m., Sgt. Eren Stephens with the Detroit Police Department said this morning.

 The 44-year-old woman was taken to the hospital, she said. Police said she was in critical condition on Sunday.

People calling 911 were able to give police a description of the suspect and a location of the gun, which police found, Stephens said. One man is in police custody, she said.
